Room Parents

Two room parents will be selected for each classroom. If you would like to be considered as a room parent for your child’s class, you must be flexible during some school days. Room parent responsibilities will look different again this year and may change throughout the year. We would still like to have designated helpers/liaisons for teachers. If you are a parent/guardian who can think outside the box and can come up with creative ideas to foster classroom connections, we would love your help! Of course, the PTA board is always available for ideas and guidance.

The most important job of a room parent is to provide clear and steady communication, typically through email, to the parents in your assigned classroom about class activities. Even if you are not selected as your child’s room parent, there will be many opportunities to volunteer your time and talents for specific events and activities throughout the school year.
